History
Siegfried “Ziggy” Vogel started with KB Woodworking in the late fifties after apprenticing in Germany where he is originally from. In 1975 Ziggy relocated the business from Glenn Head, NY to Cairo, NY, where he started a shop in his basement. Ziggy’s sons Peter and Richard, who have worked beside their father since they were old enough to be in the shop, now run KB Woodworking.
We have been manufacturing high-end custom furniture for more than three decades and custom architectural panels for over two decades. We have six conscientious employees with an average of fifteen years experience in the woodworking industry. Housed in our 8,500 square foot shop are two veneer stitchers, a ten-foot veneer press, a four-foot wide belt sander, 10-foot stroke sander and two panel saws which enable us to handle most custom jobs. We work very closely with our customers to determine their expectations, advising them as we go about the process involved and the progress of the job.
We have a close working relationship with the leading core and veneer suppliers and will exhaust all avenues to obtain the particular materials a customer request as well as advise them on the best material for the application. Our primary customers are in the Northeast, and up and down the East Coast, and as far as Washington, Colorado and California.
KB Woodworking, Inc. has over 100 years of experience and prides itself on its craftsmanship and the desire to achieve customer satisfaction. We will work hand in hand with you to determine your needs, than we will deliver a product that not only meets your expectations, but also surpasses it.
